Fable Light Creations is a natural progression of my passion for community engagement and skill-sharing. Initially established as Yael Photography, offering photography sessions and workshops, the business has evolved into a broader, more focused venture.

This new enterprise will be built upon three core pillars: Education, Photography, and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPG). My ultimate goal is to foster deeper social connections, facilitate knowledge exchange, and stimulate intellectual growth within our communities.

With over four decades of experience in the world of computers, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of technology. However, the isolation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic underscored the critical importance of human interaction. It became evident that genuine connection, free from the constraints of digital platforms, is essential for our well-being. I envision a return to the age-old tradition of sharing stories and ideas around a metaphorical campfire, unhindered by technological limitations.

Reconnect - Reimagine - Recreate

My name is Yael DeFaye. I was born in France and raised primarily there. I developed a global perspective through travel and extended stays in England and various countries across four continents. After adventures that took me from Austria to Hong Kong in my early twenties, I settled in the San Luis Valley in 2006. Holding both French and American citizenship, I now cherish the tranquility and community of rural life after years spent in the bustling suburbs of Paris and London.

My entire professional life has been dedicated to technology and information. A consistent thread throughout my career has been a passion for acquiring new knowledge and sharing it with others. My roles have been diverse, ranging from establishing an export division to serving as a project manager, system administrator, and now as part of a rural hospital's administrative team. This varied experience has exposed me to many facets of organizational operations and brought me into contact with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

My family has grown and evolved, with my children now preparing to embark on their own life journeys. While it is incredibly rewarding to witness their independence, it is also tinged with apprehension. The world they are entering is vastly different from the one I grew up in. I hope they find supportive friendships as they navigate their paths and continue to develop into respectful, accountable individuals.
